Therapeutic services offered at our rehab in Colorado
We provide a diverse range of evidence‑based and holistic therapies designed to support lasting recovery. From individual and group sessions to specialized approaches, we help each client build the skills and resilience needed for a healthier future.
Individual therapy
Individual therapy, also known as psychotherapy or counseling, involves one-on-one sessions between a therapist and a client. These sessions are confidential and provide a safe space for individuals to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through the therapeutic relationship, clients can work towards understanding themselves better, addressing personal challenges, and developing coping strategies to improve their mental health and well-being.
Solution focused therapy
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a goal-oriented approach that focuses on identifying and amplifying clients’ strengths and resources to achieve rapid and lasting change. Instead of dwelling on problems and their origins, SFBT encourages clients to envision their preferred futures and develop concrete steps to make those futures a reality. By emphasizing solutions rather than problems, SFBT empowers clients to take control of their lives and build on their existing strengths.
12-step program
The 12-step program is a structured framework designed to promote long-term recovery through personal accountability and peer support. Participants engage in a series of guided steps that encourage self-reflection, behavioral change, and a sense of community.
EMDR therapy
Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy helps individuals process distressing memories that may contribute to addiction or mental health symptoms. Through guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, EMDR allows the brain to reprocess traumatic experiences in a healthier way.
Cognitive behavioral therapy
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) helps individuals recognize how negative thought patterns influence their emotions and behaviors. By developing practical skills to challenge and replace these thoughts, clients learn to manage stress, reduce anxiety, and prevent relapse. CBT is one of the most widely used evidence-based therapies for addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions.
Dialectical behavioral therapy
Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) combines cognitive-behavioral techniques with mindfulness practices to help people regulate emotions and improve relationships. It teaches practical skills in distress tolerance, emotion regulation, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. DBT is especially effective for individuals who experience intense emotions or struggle with impulsive behaviors related to substance use.
Group therapy
Group therapy brings together people with shared experiences to build connection and accountability in a supportive environment. Led by a trained therapist, participants have the opportunity to discuss challenges, practice communication skills, and receive encouragement from peers. This collaborative setting helps individuals realize they are not alone and promotes personal growth throughout recovery.
Family Therapy
Family therapy involves bringing loved ones into the recovery process to strengthen relationships and create a supportive home environment. Guided by a licensed therapist, sessions focus on improving communication, setting healthy boundaries, and addressing family dynamics that may contribute to stress or relapse. By helping each member understand their role in recovery, family therapy promotes healing, accountability, and long-term stability for everyone involved.
Medication-assisted treatment
Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) combines FDA-approved medications with counseling and behavioral therapies to help people manage substance use disorders. The goal is to ease withdrawal symptoms, reduce cravings, and support lasting recovery. MAT addresses both the physical and emotional aspects of addiction, helping individuals stay engaged in treatment and maintain long-term stability.
Motivational interviewing
Motivational interviewing focuses on strengthening a person’s motivation to change harmful behaviors by exploring their personal goals and values. Through open-ended questions and compassionate dialogue, therapists help clients overcome ambivalence about recovery and build confidence in their ability to change. This approach encourages self-awareness and supports progress at the individual’s own pace.
