Our admissions process is designed to be simple and stress-free
Starting treatment for substance use or mental health concerns can feel overwhelming, and making that first call is often the hardest part. We’ve designed our admissions process to take the pressure off. From the moment you reach out, you’ll be connected with someone who understands the importance of this step and knows how to guide you through it with care and respect.
The process begins with a confidential phone call to our admissions team. Whether you’re calling for yourself, a loved one, or on behalf of someone else, our staff will walk you through what to expect and help you understand the next steps. We’ll ask a series of questions to get a better understanding of the person’s current situation. These questions cover topics such as patterns of substance use, mental and physical health history, past treatment experiences, and insurance coverage.
The goal is to gather enough information to determine whether our program is the right fit and to identify the level of care that makes the most sense. Our team will take the time to answer your questions, explain your options clearly, and support you in making a confident and informed decision about treatment.

We’re committed to clinical excellence through care that reflects individual needs and measurable progress
At Red Ribbon Recovery, we believe that recovery is most successful when there’s a strong therapeutic relationship at the center. Research supports what we see in practice every day: people do better when they feel understood, supported, and actively involved in their own care. Our clinical model is guided by core principles that shape everything we do:
- Addiction is a chronic condition that can be managed and treated with the right support.
- A trusting, collaborative relationship between client and clinician is essential to making progress.
- Treatment is most effective when it evolves based on client feedback and clear markers of progress.
- Long-term recovery is more likely when aftercare and ongoing support are part of the plan.

Frequently asked questions about rehab admissions
How do I get started with treatment?
If you’re not sure where to start with addiction treatment, we can help. We make the admissions process straightforward and supportive from the first call to your first day in treatment. And if we’re not the right fit, we’ll help you find another option that is.
Step 1: Get in touch with us
Our admissions team is available 24/7. When you call, you’ll speak with someone who genuinely wants to hear your story. Many of our team members have been through recovery themselves, so they get it. They’ll listen and help you figure out what comes next.
Step 2: Do a free and quick assessment
We’ll ask you a few questions to get a better idea of what kind of support you need. This includes your physical and mental health, any medical issues, and your history of substance abuse. Based on what you’ve shared, we’ll suggest a treatment program that fits your situation. You’ll go over it with your admissions contact, ask questions, and decide if it feels right.
Step 2: Review your insurance
Your insurance provider may also play a role by approving coverage in stages. As you progress, your care plan may be adjusted to match your needs and goals. After getting to know you, we’ll request your insurance information to evaluate your coverage and give you a clear picture of what your plan includes, what costs to expect, and how we can help you move forward with treatment. Our admissions team has extensive experience helping individuals and families navigate their insurance benefits and make informed decisions about treatment options and costs.
Step 4: Start your treatment
When you arrive at our facility, a member of our team will be there to welcome you and walk you through the final steps before treatment begins. This includes completing any remaining paperwork, going through a brief medical screening, and answering any last-minute questions you might have. We’ll also introduce you to some members of our team so you feel supported from the start. Our goal is to make your transition into treatment as smooth and comfortable as possible.
How long does the admissions process take?
The admissions process typically takes less than two hours from start to finish. Once we collect your insurance details, our team begins verifying your coverage while an admissions coordinator gathers key information about your needs. After a full review, we’ll determine if one of our treatment centers is the right fit. If so, we’ll move forward with scheduling your admission right away. The initial phone call usually lasts between 45 minutes to an hour.
Is there a waiting list for admissions?
In most cases, no. Because we operate multiple facilities, we can usually find a spot right away within our network. If a particular location is full, we’ll work quickly to identify another option within our system so you can begin treatment as soon as possible.
Who are your admissions specialists?
Our admissions specialists are knowledgeable, compassionate professionals who are trained to guide you through the process of getting help. Many are in recovery themselves and understand what it’s like to take that first step toward treatment.
They’re well-versed in our programs and services and are here to help you understand your options, answer your questions, and find the level of care that fits your needs. From the first call to the moment you’re admitted, they’ll be by your side to make the process as smooth and supportive as possible.
What happens on the first day of admission?
When you arrive, expect to spend about 1 to 2 hours completing the intake nalcess. This includes paperwork, meeting with staff, and getting a tour of the facility. You’ll receive an overview of the daily schedule and services available and be introduced to key members of your care team, including therapists, case managers and support staff.
Depending on how you’re feeling and the time of day, you might be invited to join a group session, have a meal, or meet other clients. There’s no pressure to do everything at once—your comfort and well-being come first. In the following days, you’ll meet with your providers and begin building a personalized treatment plan with your care team.
